The previously scheduled pot luck dinner for the Tues. 9/24 regular club meeting has been CANCELED. There’s no members scheduled to provide refreshments at this meeting due to it originally being a pot luck meeting.
Instead we are offering tickets for the Westerly senior center’s spaghetti & meatballs dinner that night. Tickets are $10 meal starts at 5 P Get tickets from Jim & Peg Varas, from the center or at the door if not sold out.

Car shows and Club events
Sat. Sept. 7 N. Stonnington Baptist Church fish fry and old car show. N. Stonnington fair grounds 3-6 PM Meal is free for everyone
Sat. Sept. 7 Wings over Westerly plane & old car show. Westerly airport. 9A-3P
Sun. Sept 8 Yankee yesteryear club car show at the Brooklyn CT fair grounds. The Yankee Yesteryear club has allowed our AACA chapter to set up a display booth commemorating our club’s 50th anniversary. Any of our members bringing their old cars will not be charged show admission and their cars will not be judged. We’ll have a group meeting for drivers attending the show at the Tractor Supply parking lot at the CT Rt. 138 exit off of I-395 in Norwich, CT at 9 AM.
Thurs, 9/12 to Sun. 9/15 Old Orchard Beach show Maine
Sat. 9/14 and Sun. 9/15 Misquamicut Beach Fall festival and car show 11A-3P each day. Car exhibitors get free admission to the Fall Fest. Saturday is their 9th annual regular car show in memory of former AACA chapter member John Hodis. Sunday is their first concours de Lemon show with awards going to the nastiest cars.
Sn. 9/15 Westerly Yacht Club car show 1-4 P in yacht club parking lot Beach St., Westerly. Food & drink to buy. The cars will cruise the town at the end of the show. Proceeds benefit the Dorian D Strong foundation.
Tues. 9/17 Apple Rehab cruise night. 4-7 PM at Apple Rehab Rt. 1 Westerly. Food for sale. Club sponsored event.
Sat. 9/21 Calabrese club picnic at 40 Border Dr. S. Kingston, RI Noon on. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, corn and drinks provided. Everyone please bring a side, salad or desert
Sun. 9/29 War veterans tribute cruise, RI Veterans Home Rt 136 Bristol, RI Registration 9-12, show 9-3 $10. Group meeting for those attending will be at the observation tower at the intersection of Rt. 1 & Rt. 138 in S. Kingston at 8 AM. We will be going via the bridges so bring your EZ pass.
Sat. 10/5 New England wire & steam show with old cars. N”E wire & steam museum 1300 Frenchtown Rd. E. Greenwich, RI 9A-4P No admission for our exhibit cars. Enter at separate gate at 9.
