2016 WPRAACA nominees
We will present our slate of nominees for the board at out Nov. 18th meeting. Fortunately, our entire slate of current officers have agreed to serve for another two year term with the exception of our Secretary Tom Link. As of press time we have not found a member willing to exceed tom’s exemplary effort (complete with asides while reading the minutes). We are desperately looking for a member to volunteer for the Secretary position. It's really simple. All you have to do is make notes during the meeting and read back a summary of the notes at the next meeting as the official meeting minutes. It would be a fantastic way for new members to get to know the rest of us car nuts. Everyone please consider being the Secretary nominee.
Report on recent club events
Trip to Clyde’s cider mill Stonington We had about ten cars as we watched the steam engine chug on while sipping our cider. Thanks to Ken for taking pictures and emailing them to us that same afternoon.
Gathering of the Faithful Middleborough MA The report from those who went was that it was the best hot rod show they had been to at that location. Everyone admired the artistry and style of those hot rod creations.
For the October meeting of our WPRAACA we had Rich Dragon, the RI license plate expert return with more examples and stories about how license plates have evolved over time. Who knew that old car owners made the first ID tags out of leather and hung them from the bumpers? If you are especially interested in Rhode Island plates you might want to see a video presentation that Richard made to the Johnston Historical Society,

This will be a catered buffet with a choice of entrees. Please bring an appetizer or desert to share. Cost will be $15 per person, $30 a couple.
