It was a great honor to receive the Ron Poupart Memorial Trophy at this year’s Klingberg 25th Anniversary Motorcar Festival on June 17. Ron Poupart was one of the honorees at this year’s event. The article that honored him in the event magazine is attached. The award was chosen by Ron’s wife and members of the Yankee Chapter of the Buick Club of America. Sharon Poupart presented the award for my 1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible.
I felt even more honored after reading the article in the show program about Ron and then the follow up article on the Ron Poupart Restoration Garage that was established by Sharon Poupart. . These two people have done a great service to Klingberg and the community in enhancing the future of the automobile hobby and its history. I highly recommend that all automotive enthusiasts consider a donation of expertise, funds, tools, or an old car to the Ron Poupart Garage. Details are on their website.
This is one trophy I will truly cherish.
